Jeffco PTA NEEDS YOU!

Join the team! Gear up for a great season advocating for kids by volunteering for the Jefferson County PTA board of directors! Won’t you consider a winning season with us? We only require practice of a monthly board meeting plus whatever specific responsibilities your team position entails!

Articulation Area Vice-President - provide individualized assistance to local units in articulation area; communicate with local unit presidents on a regular basis
ExCEL Chair – coordinate the Extracurricular Enrichment Learning program. Maintain a current listing of enrichment resources for local units to be posted on the Jeffco PTA website

Finance Committee – assist the treasurer in the operation of his/her duties with the goal of one of the committee members becoming treasurer in 1-2 years
Health & Safety – work with Jeffco Public Schools to establish and update the nutritional policies in Jeffco

Reflections Committee – assist with the coordination of the county Reflections program

Parliamentarian – act as a resource with knowledge of National, State, county and local unit bylaws; facilitate monthly board meetings

Summer/Fall Training Committee - coordinate various activities including marketing/programs/evaluations, budgeting/registration, decorations/giveaways, food/location logistics, workshop/speakers/keynote, vendors/exhibitors

November 4th: Fill out and send in your database for Jeffco Reflections
This database should ONLY contain the students who were judged at your school to continue on to the next level, the Jeffco PTA district. Click Here for the Excel spreadsheet document.

November 4th: Fill out and send in Participation Form for Jeffco Reflections
This fillable PDF should contain a total number of all the students who participated and that will move on to the district level. Click the Submit button on the form and it will automatically attach to an email, you only need Adobe Reader to fill out this form. Click Here for the PDF form.

November 12th: Turn in Entries to Jeffco PTA

November 20th: Judging Day for Jeffco District

December 10th: Hang Day for the district, 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.

Display available at Red Rocks for viewing: December 11th - December 17th

December 11th: Celebrations at Red Rocks
11 am- 3 pm: Open House for all who continued to the district

December 11th: Winner’s reception
4 pm- 5 pm: Visual Arts, Music and Film/Video
(by invitation only from the Jeffco PTA district, invitations will ONLY be sent to students who continue on to the next level of State)

6 pm- 7 pm: Photography, Literature and Dance Winner’s reception
(by invitation only from the Jeffco PTA district, invitations will ONLY be sent to students who continue on to the next level of State)

We are making every attempt this year to display on Open House day ONLY Music, Film/Video and Dance but we will also display a sign with student name and school in place of their entry.

December 18th: Take Down Day/ Pick Up Your Artwork
